Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
At Aria Arté, we value the trust that students and families place in us. We are committed to handling personal information respectfully, responsibly and in accordance with applicable privacy requirements in Hong Kong, including the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486).
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect personal information when you visit our website, contact our studio, make an enquiry, register for a class or workshop, or otherwise interact with Aria Arté.
Information We Collect
When you contact us or register for our services, we may collect information such as a parent or guardian's name, telephone number, email address and other contact details, as well as information relating to the student, such as their name, age or age group, preferred language, artistic interests, class preferences and other information reasonably required for us to provide our services.
Where necessary, we may also collect booking and payment information, correspondence with our studio, and information you voluntarily provide when making an enquiry or registering for a class, workshop or event.
We aim to collect only information that is reasonably necessary for providing and improving our services.
How We Use Your Information
We may use personal information to process class and workshop registrations; communicate with parents, guardians and students; arrange schedules and bookings; tailor classes to a student's interests, goals and preferred learning style; process payments; respond to enquiries; administer our studio; and improve our classes, events and website.
Where permitted and where the appropriate consent has been obtained, we may also use contact information to share news about upcoming classes, workshops, events or other Aria Arté activities. You may ask us to stop sending promotional communications at any time.
Children's Privacy
As an art studio working with children, we take the privacy of young students particularly seriously.
Where appropriate, personal information relating to a child should be provided by, or with the involvement of, their parent or legal guardian. We seek to collect only the information reasonably necessary to enrol the student, communicate with their family and provide an appropriate learning experience.
We do not knowingly use children's personal information for unrelated advertising or marketing purposes.
Photography & Artwork
From time to time, photographs or videos may be taken during classes, workshops or studio events, and students' artwork may be photographed for purposes such as documenting studio activities or showcasing the work created at Aria Arté. Where identifiable images of students are intended to be used for our website, social media, promotional materials or other public-facing purposes, we will seek appropriate permission from the student and/or their parent or guardian as applicable. Choosing not to provide photography or promotional consent will not prevent a student from participating in our regular classes.
The PCPD advises organisations to clearly inform children about publication of their personal data and, as a best practice, provide an opt-out for event photography. It also notes that using photographs for a purpose inconsistent with the original collection purpose can require explicit consent. PCPD
Sharing of Personal Information
We do not sell personal information.
We may share information with trusted service providers where reasonably necessary to operate our website, manage bookings, process payments, communicate with customers or provide our services. These may include website hosting, booking, payment, email or other technology service providers. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or where reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety or legitimate interests of Aria Arté, our students or others.

Depending on the services enabled on our website, our website provider and associated services may process information such as device information, browser type, IP address, pages visited and interactions with the website.
Where appropriate, visitors may manage their cookie preferences through the options provided on our website or through their browser settings.
Hong Kong's PCPD recommends transparency about what cookies collect and why, and notes that where cookies collect unnecessary personal data such as browsing behaviour, users should be allowed to decide whether to accept them. PCPD
Data Security & Retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information against unauthorised or accidental access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.
Personal information will be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including providing our services, maintaining appropriate business records and complying with applicable legal or regulatory obligations. This reflects the PCPD's guidance that personal data should not be retained longer than necessary for its purpose. PCPD
Accessing or Correcting Your Information
Subject to applicable Hong Kong law, you may request access to or correction of personal data that we hold about you or your child.
You may also contact us if your information changes, if you would like us to stop using your contact information for direct marketing, or if you have questions about how your personal information is handled.
