Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 2026
Welcome to Aria Arté. These Terms & Conditions apply to bookings, classes, workshops, events and other services provided by Aria Arté, as well as use of our website.
By making a booking, registering a student or participating in an Aria Arté class, workshop or event, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions. Where the student is under 18, the booking should be made or authorised by a parent or legal guardian.
1. Bookings & Payment
Bookings are subject to studio and teacher availability and are only confirmed once you have received confirmation from Aria Arté.
Any applicable class or workshop fees will be communicated before your booking is confirmed. Payment should be made by the method and within the timeframe specified at the time of booking.
Please ensure that the information provided during registration is accurate and up to date, particularly the student's age, contact details and any information reasonably necessary for us to provide the class safely and appropriately.
2. Cancellations & Rescheduling
We understand that plans change. If you need to cancel or reschedule a class, please contact us at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time.
Bookings cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice, as well as missed classes without notice, will ordinarily be treated as used and the class fee will not be refundable.
Where sufficient notice is provided, we will do our best to arrange an alternative session, subject to teacher and studio availability.
3. Cancellations by Aria Arté
Occasionally, we may need to change or cancel a class because of teacher illness, studio availability, severe weather or other circumstances that reasonably prevent the class from taking place.
If Aria Arté cancels a class, we will offer an alternative session, replacement class, studio credit or, where appropriate, a refund of the affected class fee.
We may also substitute a teacher where reasonably necessary. Any substitute teacher will be selected with consideration for the class and students involved.
4. Late Arrival
Students are encouraged to arrive on time so that they can enjoy the full class experience.
If a student arrives late, the class will ordinarily still finish at its originally scheduled time, as extending the session may affect other students or subsequent bookings.
5. Parents, Guardians & Collection
Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring that children arrive safely and are collected promptly at the agreed finishing time.
If someone other than the usual parent or guardian will be collecting a child, please let us know in advance where reasonably possible.
Arrangements for parents or guardians to remain in the studio during a class may vary depending on the student's age, class format and studio circumstances. Please speak with us beforehand if your child requires additional support.
6. Student Information & Safety
Please let us know before class about any information that is reasonably necessary for your child to participate safely and comfortably, including relevant allergies, sensitivities or support needs.
Our teachers will take reasonable care to maintain a safe and appropriate studio environment. However, art classes naturally involve materials and equipment such as paint, charcoal, pencils, brushes, clay, adhesives and other art-making tools.
Students are expected to follow reasonable safety instructions given by their teacher.
7. Clothing & Personal Belongings
Art can get messy — and we think that's part of the fun.
Students should wear clothing suitable for working with art materials. Although we take reasonable precautions, Aria Arté cannot guarantee that paint, ink, charcoal or other materials will wash out of clothing or personal belongings.
Please avoid bringing unnecessary valuable items to the studio. Personal belongings remain the responsibility of the student and their parent or guardian, subject always to rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Class Content & Individualized Teaching
Aria Arté classes are designed to be flexible. Teachers may adapt activities, materials, techniques and lesson plans according to a student's age, ability, interests, artistic goals and progress.
Students may choose to focus more heavily on technical development, creative exploration or a combination of both. We encourage parents and students to communicate their preferences with us so that we can shape the experience accordingly.
From time to time, students may also explore our Artist of the Month, workshops, collaborative projects or other themes selected by the studio.
9. English, French & Cantonese Classes
Where a class is described as being conducted in English, French or Cantonese, that language will generally be used as the primary language of communication during the class. Our language-integrated art classes remain art classes rather than formal language courses. We do not guarantee a particular level of language proficiency or academic outcome as a result of participation.
10. Student Behaviour
Aria Arté aims to maintain a kind, respectful and creative environment for every student. Students are expected to treat teachers, other students, artwork, materials and the studio with reasonable care and respect. Behaviour that seriously compromises the safety or experience of others may result in the parent or guardian being contacted and, where necessary, the student being asked to leave the session. Where recurring behavioural concerns arise, we will aim to discuss them with the parent or guardian before deciding whether continued participation is appropriate.
11. Photography & Video
We may occasionally photograph or film classes, workshops, artwork or studio activities.
Identifiable photographs or videos of children will only be used for public-facing purposes such as our website, social media or promotional materials where appropriate permission has been obtained.
Photography and promotional consent is separate from enrolment. A parent or guardian may choose not to provide such consent without preventing their child from participating in our regular classes.
Please see our Privacy Policy for more information about how personal information is handled.
12. Student Artwork
Students will generally be able to take home the artwork they create during their classes once it is ready. Certain works may need to remain temporarily at the studio for drying, finishing, display, photography or completion in a later lesson.
The student's original creative work remains theirs. Where we would like to reproduce or publicly feature identifiable student artwork for promotional or editorial purposes, we will handle this consistently with any applicable permissions and our Privacy Policy.
13. Workshops & Special Events
Certain workshops and special events may have additional requirements, materials, age recommendations, schedules or booking conditions.
Where additional terms apply, they will be communicated when the workshop or event is advertised or booked. Those specific conditions should be read together with these general Terms & Conditions.
14. Results & Artistic Development
Every student develops differently. While our teachers aim to provide thoughtful instruction, encouragement and appropriate technical guidance, artistic development is individual. Participation in Aria Arté classes does not guarantee a particular artistic, academic, portfolio, examination, school-admission or language-learning outcome.
15. Liability
Aria Arté will take reasonable care in providing its classes, maintaining the studio environment and supervising students while they are participating in our services.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude or restrict any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted under Hong Kong law.
To the extent permitted by law, Aria Arté will not be responsible for loss or damage arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control or from a student's failure to follow reasonable studio or safety instructions.
This wording is intentionally more measured than a blanket waiver: Hong Kong law limits the extent to which service providers can contract out of certain obligations, particularly liability arising from negligence. CLIC
16. Website & Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the Aria Arté name, branding, website design, written content, graphics and original studio materials belong to Aria Arté or are used with appropriate permission.
Website content may not be copied, reproduced, distributed or used for commercial purposes without prior permission, except where permitted by law.
17. Privacy
Personal information collected through our website, enquiries, bookings and classes will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable Hong Kong privacy requirements.
Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further information about how we collect, use, store and protect personal information.
18. Changes to Classes or Services
We may occasionally update class content, teachers, studio arrangements, pricing or other aspects of our services.
Where a change materially affects an existing confirmed booking, we will communicate the relevant change to the customer and provide an appropriate solution where necessary.
Hong Kong's Trade Descriptions Ordinance prohibits misleading practices in connection with services, so keeping advertised prices, class descriptions and material booking conditions accurate is important in practice as well as contractually. Customs and Excise Department
19. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our studio, services or applicable requirements.
The most recent version will be published on our website together with the date it was last updated. Changes will not retrospectively remove rights that have already arisen under an existing booking.
20. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory rights available to consumers under applicable Hong Kong law.
